Job description

This position starts at an hourly rate of $25.71/hour with opportunities to progress. Successful candidates for this role must be available to work a rotating (days & nights) 12-hour schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

What You Will Do

  1. Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  2. Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
  3. Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  4. Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
  5. Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  6. Ensure safe operation of mobile equipment and machinery
  7. Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  8. Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling
  9. Work 12 hour rotating shifts in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Experience using a computer or tablet for documentation and/or record-keeping functions
  3. 6 months or more of experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, military, construction, production, warehouse, loading/unloading, fishing or logging environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  1. Advanced degree/certification in engineering, electrical/mechanical systems, paper manufacturing, or reliability
  2. 2 years or more of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial or military environment
  3. 2 years or more of experience in the pulp and paper industry
  4. 1 year or more of experience in maintenance or reliability
  5. Experience with basic mechanical maintenance and/or machine troubleshooting
