SUMMARY

You will be a key player on our manufacturing team, mainly involved in the production of powdered nutritional supplement ingredients. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the manufacturing process: weighing and measuring raw materials, blending and mixing, discharging product for drying, grinding, packaging, and shipping of products for delivery. The ideal candidate would be skilled in all areas of production and machinery, including blenders, grinders, encapsulation, hot water systems, furnaces, racks, air collection, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing

Understand Batch Formulation Sheets (BFS), add water as specified by the water meter, verify temperatures are within proper range, add ingredients, and sign off each ingredient. Properly identify and weigh dry ingredients, confirming against BFS during production.

Discharge

Ensure racks are cut to appropriate lengths, review BFS for spraying requirements, ensure equipment is clean, and discharge product properly. Label each rack with lot and product number once full. Clean blenders thoroughly after use.

Drying

Place products in drying rooms, ensuring minimal oven space usage.

Grinding

Verify BFS information, operate forklift, set up grinder with the correct mesh screen, prepare containers, label drums properly, grind, pull samples for analysis, weigh and record drums, and clean the grinder.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Assist with daily cleaning and routine maintenance, complete cleaning logs, and ensure compliance with health department regulations at all times to avoid citations or penalties during inspections.

Weighing

Review BFS, weigh and verify product, identify raw materials, assign lot numbers, and ensure accuracy in weighing and verification.

Basic Requirements
