• Experience managing a production facility that manufactures custom steel and aluminum products, such as railings, stairs, platforms, and structural assemblies.
• Strong understanding of welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
• Knowledge of fabrication methods, raw materials, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, SOP development, and KPI management.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, schedule, and monitor production to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and material flow using Procore.
• Lead hiring, training, performance management, and development of production team members.
• Communicate production status, priorities, and potential delays across departments.
• Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs.
• Establish and track KPIs to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain quality standards, investigate production issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee equipment maintenance programs and support equipment acquisition planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Production Manager | Custom Steel & Aluminum Fabrication

Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience managing a custom fabrication shop? We're looking for a Production Manager to oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead a high-performing team producing custom steel and aluminum railings, stairs, platforms, and fabricated assemblies for a family owned fabrication company with over 50 years of service in the MD/VA/DC market.

What You'll Do

• Plan, schedule, and monitor production to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and material flow using Procore.
• Lead hiring, training, performance management, and development of production team members.
