About CGN

CGN is a marketing agency specializing in website design, development, and SEO for remodeling and design-build companies. We help contractors attract the right customers and grow through effective digital marketing.

Our core values are One Size Fits One, Seek Excellence, Nail the Details, Be Your Best You, Love Your Impact, and Proactive Leadership.

About the Role

We're hiring a Production Manager to own the day-to-day execution of website projects and recurring SEO deliverables. You'll establish internal schedules, assign and prioritize work, manage team capacity, lead daily production check-ins, oversee quality standards, and ensure commitments are met.

This is an internal production leadership role, not a hands-on designer, developer, or SEO specialist position. You'll need strong website production knowledge and the confidence to direct specialists, address missed deadlines, and resolve bottlenecks.

You'll have authority over internal assignments, deadlines, and priorities, but no direct reports. You'll document recurring performance concerns and escalation formal personnel matters to leadership. Account Managers own all client communication; you own internal production execution.

Your job is to ensure the right work gets completed correctly and on time, without constant leadership intervention.

Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Production

  • Create and own internal schedules, assignments, priorities, and deadlines for active website projects.

  • Understand website discovery, copywriting, design, development, QA, and launch dependencies to sequence work appropriately.

  • Assign work across designers, developers, writers, and other specialists based on capacity and deadlines.

  • Monitor progress daily; identify stalled tasks, bottlenecks, and delivery risks before deadlines are missed.

  • Coordinate internal handoffs and communicate timeline changes to Account Managers and leadership.

  • Keep website production plans, ownership, and task statuses accurate in Monday.com.

SEO Production

  • Own production operations for recurring monthly SEO deliverables, including scheduling, prioritization, workflow, and delivery consistency.

  • Work with SEO specialists to turn their strategies and planned deliverables into clear assignments and deadlines.

  • Coordinate content, optimization, technical SEO, and related tasks across specialists, writers, and developers.

  • Track completed, outstanding, and at-risk work for each SEO client; address delays before monthly commitments are missed.

  • Ensure established QA procedures are followed and recurring delivery problems are identified.

SEO specialists own strategy and technical execution. The Production Manager owns operational follow-through and timely delivery.

Daily Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead daily production check-ins to clarify priorities, progress, blockers, and next steps.

  • Set clear expectations for task ownership, deadlines, and completion standards.

  • Follow up consistently, address missed commitments directly, and prevent overdue work from accumulating.

  • Rebalance assignments with specialists when workloads are unrealistic; communicate resulting timeline impacts.

  • Independently reprioritize production work to meet business commitments.

  • Document repeated missed deadlines or performance concerns and report them to leadership.

Quality & Workflow Oversight

  • Ensure specialists complete technical QA and work meets established requirements before being marked complete.

  • Spot-check deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to production standards.

  • Return substandard work to the responsible specialist with clear corrections and a revised deadline.

  • Track recurring quality problems and recommend improvements to reduce rework.

  • Identify inefficient handoffs, scheduling problems, and production bottlenecks; recommend practical process improvements.

Monday.com, Reporting & Collaboration

  • Use Monday.com to actively manage assignments, deadlines, dependencies, workload, and project status.

  • Maintain live visibility into overdue work, upcoming milestones, and production capacity.

  • Prepare weekly production scorecards and risk updates for the Vice President / Integrator.

  • Coordinate regularly with Account Managers so they can accurately manage client expectations.

  • Communicate production risks proactively and elevate issues requiring leadership decisions.

  • Maintain clear internal documentation and reinforce accurate task updates across the team.

Division of Responsibility

Production Manager: Internal schedules, assignments, priorities, workload balancing, production accountability, SEO delivery tracking, quality oversight, and reporting.

Account Managers: Client relationships, communication, expectations, information collection, feedback, and approvals.

Production Specialists: Technical execution, specialist-level QA, technical recommendations, and SEO strategy where applicable.

QualificationsRequired

  • Demonstrated experience managing production workflows, digital projects, or delivery operations; proven ownership matters more than a specific number of years.

  • Strong understanding of website development phases, dependencies, QA, and launch processes.

  • Direct Monday.com experience managing projects, tasks, and deadlines.

  • Proven ability to establish schedules, assign work, prioritize competing demands, and enforce deadlines.

  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or recurring deliverables.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and independent judgment.

  • Confidence leading production meetings, addressing missed commitments, and holding contributors accountable.

  • Ability to identify capacity constraints, production risks, and quality concerns early.

  • Clear written and verbal communication and effective collaboration with technical and client-facing teams.

  • Ability to work in Charlotte, NC, under CGN's hybrid schedule.
