Job summary

Nix Companies, Inc. in Rockport, Indiana is seeking a Production Manager for structural steel and miscellaneous metals. You will oversee projects from release to fabrication, coordinating with architects, engineers, and detailers to ensure timely delivery and contract compliance.

You will build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while managing schedules and budgets. The role emphasizes tight coordination, on-site office work, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience reading design, fabrication and erection drawings.
• Experience in structural and miscellaneous metal fabrication preferred.
• Tekla / Fabsuite proficiency preferred.
• Working from the office located at the operations.
• Prior project management experience preferred but not required if you possess extensive experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all projects and deliverables are completed properly within the scope of the contract.
• Identify, request, and follow up on required information from architects, engineers and detailers.
• Identify and procure all required material for projects from drawings released for fabrication.
• Schedule production and delivery of materials.
• Develop and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
• Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, contractors, architects, engineers, and detailers via phone, email, and face-to-face.
