Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC) in Madison, Wisconsin, designs and manufactures retail store fixtures and point-of-purchase displays with a focus on quality and efficiency. The role oversees daily production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement, while coordinating with Design, Engineering, and other internal teams to meet specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, business, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in production or operations management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and schedule daily production.
• Ensure timely and scheduled completion of products.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to ensure product specification compliance.
• Collaborate across departments including customer service, purchasing, warehousing, and shipping.
• Ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead production staff, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
• Facilitate daily and weekly production meetings.
• Ensure safety, OSHA, labor compliance and other regulatory requirements.
• Implement best practices for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and partners.
