Job summary

UniFirst in Indianapolis is seeking a Production Manager to oversee production flow, maintain high-quality standards, and optimize resources for growth and profitability. You will lead a diverse team reporting to the General Manager and drive continuous improvement across the production department.

You will engage in safety, cost analysis, and cross-department collaboration to align production goals with business objectives and our enterprise mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age and valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of production management experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience with strong team building.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (≤25%).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Lean Six Sigma practices.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization and continuous improvement in Production.
• Manage resources to meet targets with quality and cost discipline.
• Lead and support team members to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Foster a service-oriented culture delivering value to stakeholders.
• Participate in quality initiatives: audits, root-cause analysis, corrective actions.
• Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure safety compliance through inspections and training.
• Oversee inventory management, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement production schedules to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, Maintenance, and Office to align goals.
