Job summary

QuidelOrtho, located onsite in Athens, Ohio, is seeking a Manager, Production to oversee manufacturing operations and lead a team of Production Supervisors. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency across IVD and CE product lines, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The role demands a strong background in regulated manufacturing, leadership experience, and the ability to optimize resources while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience in regulated industries (medical device, pharmaceutical, or IVD) with 3+ years in a leadership role managing manufacturing teams
• SPC knowledge and risk-management theory (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and compliance
• Proactive and self-motivated with strong work ethic
• Results-oriented with strong accountability

Responsibilities

• Team Management - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Production Supervisors; evaluate performance and provide coaching
• Safety & Compliance - ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance (FDA/21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/746, ISO 13485)
• Production Planning, Operation & Monitoring - oversee daily manufacturing operations and optimize production schedules
• Budget & Cost Management - monitor production budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Perform other duties & projects as assigned
