Job summary

Vishay Specialty Thin Film – Hollis, NH is seeking a Production Manager to lead production on the manufacturing floor across all shifts. The role converts customer demand and approved site plans into daily execution using people, equipment, materials, methods, and available capacity.

The Production Manager sets the operating rhythm, establishes priorities, removes barriers, and drives escalation to meet delivery and financial commitments while safeguarding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field; equivalent education and progressively responsible manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
• Seven or more years of manufacturing experience with at least three years leading supervisors or multi-department production teams; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in a high-mix/low-volume, build-to-print, thin-film, semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, or similarly controlled manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, workforce capability, and financial performance through direct shop-floor leadership.
• Strong people-leadership skills, including coaching, supervisor development, performance management, conflict resolution, and organizational change.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, standard work, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of quality-management and EHS systems in a regulated manufacturing environment; experience supporting AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 preferred.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including cost reduction, headcount justification, and customer-impact assessment.
• Ability to interpret schedule, WIP, yield, labor, downtime, and cost data and convert it into clear operating decisions and priorities.
