Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Production Manager for our dairy manufacturing operations in Deford, Michigan. You will direct day-to-day manufacturing activities, guide supervisors and staff, and ensure on-time client orders while maintaining quality, safety, and budget targets.

Production Manager – Dairy Manufacturing

Core Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day manufacturing activities by guiding supervisors and staff to fulfill client orders while hitting targets for quality, safety, and budget management.
• Track performance data and KPIs to pinpoint operational gaps, troubleshoot manufacturing hurdles, and boost overall cost-efficiency.
• Create and uphold Standard Operating Procedures while guaranteeing strict adherence to GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and industry regulations.
• Foster a secure and compliant work environment by championing safety initiatives, preparing for audits, and ensuring full alignment with state and federal safety mandates.
• Oversee the professional growth and management of the production staff, handling tasks like hiring, shift planning, skill development, and performance reviews in coordination with leadership.
• Assist with general facility administration, including participating in leadership meetings, monitoring inventory levels, generating operational reports, and clearly conveying company goals to the workforce.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is necessary, though a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Between five and eight years of professional experience working specifically within the dairy production industry.
• Demonstrated history of successfully leading or managing teams within a manufacturing facility.
• Extensive expertise in directing personnel and facilitating smooth manufacturing workflows.
• Capacity to acquire and retain all necessary professional certifications or credentials throughout your tenure.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $100,000 per year.
