Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a seasoned production lead in Hawaii to manage bench and bioreactor scale cell culture producing immunoassay reagents. You will coordinate scheduling, supplier interactions, and cross-functional troubleshooting to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in reagent manufacturing within GMP environments, strong leadership, and lean manufacturing experience to drive productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• You will lead a team of Biochemists that perform bench scale and Bioreactor scale cell culture to produce protein components of immunoassay reagents using hybridoma and recombinant cell lines.
• You will support production scheduling, purchasing of externally sourced raw materials, and ensuring that production processes are completed expediently without sacrificing quality
• You will assist with problem solving and technical troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and associated equipment

Desired qualifications

• You have very good interpersonal skills and are able to effectively lead a production team as well as interface with external suppliers, internal technical stakeholders, and others in the customer environment and you will show team orientation, communication skills, and customer orientation
• You will demonstrate knowledge in cell culture techniques and bioreactor operation to support troubleshooting
• You will perform manufacturing resource planning, especially familiarity with SAP PP and MM modules. You will monitor key performance indicators for production timeliness and customer satisfaction and ensure Class A Manufacturing performance.
• You will have experience in Lean manufacturing and help promote Lean philosophy to improve productivity while also minimizing waste

Required skills to have for the success of this role

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 5-8 years reagent manufacturing experience; including experience in a GMP/GDP environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor

The base pay range for this position is

$102,870 - $141,449

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
