Job summary

Your Talent Source, LLC in Memphis, TN seeks a Production Manager with aluminum extrusion leadership to drive safe, efficient manufacturing and continuous improvement. You will lead production teams, partner with quality, maintenance, and supply chain, and focus on OEE, scrap reduction, and cost control.

A BS in engineering or manufacturing leadership experience is preferred, with 7+ years in metal fabrication environments and Lean/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Manufacturing, or equivalent leadership experience.
• 7+ years manufacturing leadership in Aluminum Extrusion or metal manufacturing.
• Experience leading supervisors and production teams in high-volume environments.
• Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Safety, HR, and Supply Chain to drive results and develop a highly engaged workforce.
• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to production teams for efficient processes and accountability.
• Direct and oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet schedules and productivity targets.
• Monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Lead capacity planning and resource allocation for current and future demand.
• Champion a culture of quality and adherence to customer specs and internal standards.
• Use data and root-cause analysis to reduce scrap, rework, and defects.
• Promote proactive quality ownership and a positive, high-performance work environment.
• Coach and develop supervisors and hourly team members for performance and career growth.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives focused on retention, recognition, safety, and development.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in Aluminum Extrusion or a Metal manufacturing operation.


• 3+ years managing supervisors and production teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting.


• Demonstrated success improving quality performance, productivity, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.


• Strong understanding of quality systems, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


• Strong leadership, coaching, employee development & conflict resolution skills.


• Proven ability to build high-performing and engaged teams.


• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement.

EDUCATION:
