Job summary

Tradebe is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily plant operations at our East Chicago, IN facility. This role drives safety, regulatory compliance, productivity, and team performance while ensuring efficient processing of materials.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in environmental services or industrial operations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, build high-performing teams, and continuously improve processes and operational results.

  • 5+ years leadership in environmental services or industrial operations.
  • Hands-on leader in fast-paced settings; develops high-performing teams.
  • Experience in regulated environments; strong process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations with safe, efficient, and compliant processes.
  • Champion a strong EHS culture and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach and develop production personnel to drive performance.
  • Oversee material processing, inventory management, and workflow.
  • Coordinate with Laboratory, Maintenance, Receiving to optimize operations.
  • Ensure compliance with RCRA, permits, and company policies.
  • Monitor equipment reliability and coordinate maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Tradebe is seeking an experiencedProduction Managerto lead daily plant operations within our processing facility. This role is responsible for driving safety, regulatory compliance, productivity, and team performance while ensuring efficient processing of materials and inventory.

The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience from an environmental services, hazardous waste, chemical processing, manufacturing, or other industrial operations environment. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting, develops high-performing teams, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and operational results.

Key Job Responsiblities:

  • Lead daily production operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processes.
  • Champion a strong culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage, coach, and develop production personnel to drive performance and accountability.
  • Oversee material processing, inventory management, and workflow execution.
  • Partner with Laboratory, Maintenance, Receiving, and other departments to optimize operations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with RCRA, permit requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor equipment reliability and coordinate maintenance activities to maximize uptime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Do you have what it takes?
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within environmental services, hazardous waste management, chemical processing, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience managing production, processing, inventory, or plant operations in a regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive operational results.
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational excellence principles.
