Job summary

Claremont Foods seeks a Production Manager to oversee production lines and operations, ensuring product quality and timely delivery. You will directly supervise production associates and collaborate with maintenance, sanitation, shipping, and other departments.

  • Experience with Redzone and use of KPI data to improve plant performance.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and engineering to address production needs and issues.
  • Lead teams to address scrap, quality, and safety concerns.

Position Summary

The Production Manager oversees production lines and operations to ensure quality of product and delivery to distribution. Responsible for direct supervision of production associates. Works closely with all other departments including maintenance, sanitation, and shipping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for achieving safety, quality, and productivity goals
  • Manage production activities and provide direction and support for all shifts
  • Direct activities shift supervisors, establish department procedures, determine priorities, and secure results through subordinates
  • Responsible for employee development, conduct and overall performance of the Production Department
  • Drive cost savings initiatives, efficiency gains, and process improvements
  • Enforce Company policies, safety standards, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Address employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach, and discipline employees; make recommendations on hiring and terminations
  • Promote teamwork and ensure fair management of all employees
  • Responsible for accurate production reporting and timekeeping
  • Drive improvements in production efficiencies and ensure efficient labor utilization
  • Coordinate with the quality department to address all quality and customer issues
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and engineering department to ensure all production needs are effectively communicated and addressed
  • Ensure corrective action investigation and root cause analysis are performed
  • Organize and lead employee teams to address scrap, quality, safety, and other production issues.
  • Serve as an effective mentor and coach for leadership development and support succession planning initiatives.
