Job summary

100KCrossing is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead the electroplating floor, organize daily operations, and scale the 2nd shift team. You will set schedules, review orders, ensure safety, and drive quality and efficiency on a wet, high-noise line.

This hands-on role requires several years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, HAZWOPER and forklift credentials, and proven ability to read blueprints and job routers to meet production goals.

Qualifications

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Production Manager provides hands-on factory floor management to organize, direct, and oversee daily manufacturing operations. . They will be responsible for building and scaling the 2nd shift team, setting work schedules, reviewing production orders, and ensuring target output is met safely and efficiently. They have have extensive electroplating experience, strong supervisory capabilities, and active HAZWOPER/forklift credentials to enforce safety standards, maintain job routers, drive scrap reduction, and foster a quality-first, collaborative work environment.

Type: Fulltime (Perm-Exempt)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to establish, staff, and build the 2nd shift production team and department goals.
• Review daily production orders, set work schedules, and allocate resources to meet target deadlines consistently.
• Supervise, assist, and direct floor employees in daily tasks, applying hands‑on factory management to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Apply deep knowledge of plating specs, process characteristics, and machinery limitations to maintain production quality.
• Enforce safe work practices, maintain shop-floor housekeeping, and mandate required PPE (including hearing protection and steel-toed boots) around caustic and acidic chemical tanks.
• Develop, maintain, and adjust job routers to ensure correct manufacturing steps and operational accuracy.
• Develop training schedules for new hires, evaluate worker performance, direct job placement, and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce scrap rates, optimize workflow efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
• Identify potential production or personnel issues early and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
• Handle workforce issues, conduct disciplinary actions, and distribute documentation in alignment with company policies.
• Prepare and submit regular production, safety, attendance, and operational status reports to upper management.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and company spec libraries to verify customer job requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have hands‑on electroplating experience, with working knowledge of plating process characteristics, limitations, and spec libraries.
• 5 to 10 years of relative manufacturing/industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a direct supervisory or management role.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid HAZWOPER training certification and an active Forklift License.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routers.
• Proven hands‑on floor management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously in a wet, chemical, high-noise environment.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) with clear instruction‑giving, conflict resolution, active listening, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Electroplater-Finisher (CEF) credential..
• Advanced Hazardous Waste Training.
