Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety and quality compliance, optimizing plant performance, and developing high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a proven track record of improving productivity, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and building strong teams.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
  • Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage labor utilization, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs.
Team Development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives.
  • Lead staffing, training, and workforce planning efforts.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards, operating procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through training, communication, and accountability.
  • Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput improvement, and process optimization.
Required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience leading teams in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and workplace safety
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven success managing production metrics and driving operational improvements
