We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead operations at a new food production facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, production optimization, and team development.

Position Overview

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of daily production, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output in compliance with industry regulations. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.

Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise production staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive, safety-focused, and results-oriented work culture.
  • Manage production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet output, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Monitor and improve production processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resources.
  • Resolve production and quality issues quickly to maintain smooth operations.
  • Develop and track KPIs, analyzing performance trends and implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
  • Enforce compliance with HACCP, FDA, and all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Assist in budget planning and cost control measures, identifying savings without compromising safety or quality.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven production management experience within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in production planning, scheduling, and reporting tools.
  • Skilled in process improvement, problem-solving, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work off-shifts to ensure alignment across all production teams.
