Job Title: Production Supervisor- Production & Manufacturing
Location: Chesterfield, VA
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM or 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $19- $25 per hour based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our production operations and ensure manufacturing processes run efficiently and profitably. In this fast-paced environment, the Production Supervisor is a key member of the operations team, responsible for managing personnel, optimizing workflows, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and evaluate performance
- Coach, counsel, and discipline team members as needed
- Recruit, orient, and train employees, fostering personal and professional growth
- Production & Workflow Management:
- Monitor and optimize all steps of the production process
- Set processing variables, observe control points, and ensure equipment functionality
- Schedule personnel, assign tasks, and track progress to meet production targets
- Implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Establish and enforce organizational standards to maintain product quality
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations
- Educate and direct personnel on equipment and process safety
- Operations & Reporting:
- Compile, analyze, and report production performance metrics
- Troubleshoot process malfunctions and coordinate corrective actions
- Develop, revise, and implement systems, procedures, and reporting tools
- Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks
- Promote collaboration across departments and contribute to team objectives
- Problem‑Solving & Decision‑Making:
- Analyze personnel and operational issues, identify solutions, and recommend actions
- Resolve workflow bottlenecks while maintaining efficiency and quality
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Lead, or Operations Coordinator
- Hands‑on experience with manufacturing machinery and tools
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication and team management abilities
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and proactive problem solver
- High school diploma required; degree in technical, engineering, or related field preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to fast‑paced manufacturing environments
