Job summary

Randstad USA in Union, OH is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead shop-floor supervisors and production teams. Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive production leadership experience in manufacturing/fabrication.
• Experience managing work center schedules, shop-floor metrics, and SOP compliance.
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; able to navigate ERP/reporting systems.
• Proactive leader with ownership, clear communication and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage production Supervisors and labor across all work centers; plan and assign work and enforce policies.
• Oversee work centers, monitor SOPs, utilization, and direct labor efficiencies; generate required reports.
• Ensure 95%+ On-Time Delivery to customers and maintain ISO quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing better methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Foster coaching and development; assist with hiring decisions and training in direct labor areas.

Our client-a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal fabrications, weldments, and fuel systems for Fortune 500 OEM customers-is seeking an experienced Production Manager to drive daily shop-floor success at their Union, OH facility. In this high-impact leadership role, you will manage shop-floor supervisors and production personnel, direct work center operations, optimize labor efficiencies, and ensure a 95%+ On-Time Delivery rate. Responsibilities

• Production & Floor Leadership: Directly manage production Supervisors along with Direct and Indirect Labor personnel across all work centers on the production floor. Plan and assign work, execute operational policies and procedures, and manage all daily production floor matters.
• Performance & Efficiency Monitoring: Oversee all work centers and monitor Foreman's Reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work center utilization, and direct labor efficiencies. Run required reporting to ensure jobs are completed on time.
• Delivery & Quality Standards: Ensure a minimum of 95% On-Time Delivery (OTD) to customers. Mentor the production workforce to ensure full conformance with quality specifications and ISO standards.
• Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. Track operational metrics (including visual controls, efficiency, and scrap), identify shop-floor bottlenecks, and recommend improved methods, equipment, and operating procedures.
• Team Development & Employee Relations: Foster effective employee relations through coaching, development, and direct problem resolution. Assist with hiring/employment decisions and facilitate employee training within direct labor work centers in partnership with training staff.
• Safety & Working Conditions: Actively promote a safety-first culture, participate in required safety training sessions, and continuously work to improve working conditions and safety risks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend daily production meetings and build strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
