Job summary

Nolato San Antonio is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations on-site in San Antonio, TX. You will plan and schedule production, allocate labor and equipment, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize processes, reduce waste, and advance lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in production and operations management, including scheduling and labor/resource planning.
• Strong skills in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and problem solving.
• Proven leadership and performance management of diverse production teams.
• Knowledge of QA practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, MES, or similar manufacturing systems.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field.
• Experience in plastic injection molding or contract manufacturing is highly beneficial.

Role Description

The Production Manager at Nolato San Antonio is a full-time, on-site role based in San Antonio, TX, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on the production floor. This position plans and schedules production activities, allocates labor and equipment, and ensures that output meets quality, safety, and delivery requirements. The Production Manager monitors key performance indicators, troubleshoots production issues, and collaborates with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize processes and reduce waste. This role leads and develops production staff, supports training and performance coaching, and promotes continuous improvement and adherence to lean manufacturing practices. The Production Manager also ensures compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and customer specifications while supporting strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in production and operations management, including scheduling, resource planning, and day-to-day oversight of manufacturing activities.
• Strong skills in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and problem-solving to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Proficiency in leadership, team development, and performance management, with the ability to coach, motivate, and support diverse production teams.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment, ideally within healthcare or automotive sectors.
• Ability to work with production metrics, reporting tools, and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/MRP, MES) to track performance and drive decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in plastic injection molding or contract manufacturing is highly beneficial.
