We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Summary

Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What You'll Do

• Leads and manages the operations functions, which may include production manufacturing engineering, manufacturing process, quality, and activities from production planning to shipment. He/she drives the production team to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review.
• Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies.
• Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
• Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
• Monitor resource capacity regularly and adjust to match with promised delivery of the product.
• Monitor health of machines, schedule PM , follow up with team to reduce machine down time.
• Requires full knowledge of his/her own area of functional responsibility.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
• Provides operational support in the manufacture of final assemblies, complex subassemblies, and systems.
• Supports the transition of new products (NPI) into sustaining production as required.
• Assists in materials evaluation and testing.
• May interface with customers and suppliers on technical issues.
• Supports development of new or optimizing existing processes utilizing Six Sigma tools.
• Supports in developing standard operating procedures for operations groups.
• Supports group members’ development plans and ensures effective succession planning.
• Participate in capital investment planning to enhance shop capacity/ capability.
• Maintain/monitor cleanliness and 5S in manufacturing area.
• Assist implementing/enforcing company policies on shop floor.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business administration
• Minimum 8 years of supervisor experience
• Generally requires 8 years of factory experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English needed to **escalate** issues to managers, engineering, and other departments.
• Ability to multitask.

• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and test processes.
