Job summary

U.S. Pipe Fabrication in Rogers, MN is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the overall operation of the Rogers fabrication shop.

You will drive production efficiency, control costs, develop the workforce, ensure safety, maintain product quality, and ensure timely delivery to customers. The role requires 5–7 years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing, with strong leadership and analytical skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of ductile iron pipe manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial statements, including P&L, is preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience recommended.
• Experience motivating workforce through change management is required.
• Ability to plan and direct the work of workforce and ensure training and development objectives are met.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Urgency in meeting customer needs and adherence to safety procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook; SharePoint knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs all production phases of Plant operation through staff members.
• Directs supervisors in production, fabrication, production control, packaging, and related operations and administrative functions.
• Develops and implements strategic plans to meet objectives and reviews results monthly and annually.
• Collaborates with Director of Operations on annual operating budget and plan to meet budgetary requirements; reviews results monthly and annually.
• Ensures efficiency of all production operations and safety of workforce.
• Ensures plant production centers comply with governmental regulations.
• Ensures products meet quality and customer requirements before shipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

U.S. Pipe Fabrication is seeking a Production Manager. Responsible for the overall operation of the Rogers, MN Fabrication shop. Ensures the efficiency of operations including controlling cost, development of the workforce, the safety of the workforce, the quality of the products, and the timely delivery of products to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages and directs all production phases of Plant operation through staff members.
• Directs supervisors in production, fabrication, production control, packaging, and other related operations and administrative functions.
• Responsible for the development and the implementation of strategic plans to meet the objectives, and the monthly and annual review of objective results.
• Responsible for working with the Director of Operations for the development of the plant’s annual operating budget; the implementation of a plan to achieve budgetary requirements; and the monthly and annual review of budgetary results.
• Ensures the efficiency of all production operations at the plant and that all work is performed safely.
• Ensures that the plant’s production centers operate in compliance with all governmental regulatory requirements.
• Ensures that all products produced at the plant and shipped to customers from the plant meet quality and customer requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Other Requirements:
