Job summary

Search Masters, Inc. in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee daily activities across two manufacturing facilities.

This role drives Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, manages a team of supervisors and a larger workforce, and assumes full P&L responsibility while steering CAPEX projects and new product launches. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, ensure on-time delivery, and coach staff through training programs.

• Manage 7 direct reports (3 Production Supervisors) and 90 indirect employees.
• Assume full P&L responsibility and manage CAPEX projects while driving lean initiatives.
• Lead product launches and ensure effective training, coaching, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and resolve issues.
• Manage Plant 1 processes (CNC machining, forging, welding & fabrication) and Plant 2 (powder coating and assembly).

• Assume full P&L responsibility and manage CAPEX projects while driving lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead product launches and ensure effective training, coaching, and on-time delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and resolve operational issues
• Manage Plant 1 processes including CNC Machining, Forging, Welding & Fabrication, and Plant 2 operations encompassing powder coating and assembly

Key Requirements

• Strong background in machining (milling/turning), forging, or welding/fabrication is preferred
• Solid expertise in lean and Six Sigma methodologies
