The Production Manager — Assembly is an exempt management-level position responsible for the leadership, coordination, and execution of 1MT's production assembly operations across multiple facilities. This role oversees production assembly functions including kitting, hand assembly, repack, labeling, counting, and packing activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards.
The Production Manager leads production assembly supervisors and team leads across assigned buildings, aligning labor, schedules, and resources to meet daily production targets and service commitments. This position focuses exclusively on production assembly operations and does not manage print production, post-production finishing, or warehouse fulfillment activities.
The Production Manager is also responsible for leading / managing the project quoting process.
The Production Manager — Assembly is distinct from a Production Supervisor. The Manager owns multibuilding assembly performance and leads supervisors rather than individual associates, exercising independent judgment and accountability for outcomes such as productivity, quality, staffing effectiveness, and safety.
Production Supervisors focus on day-to-day execution within a single production area and elevate issues to management.
