Job summary

Berman Auto Group in Niles, IL seeks a Production Manager to lead our high-volume shop and align production with service goals. You will oversee technicians, dispatch workloads, and ensure efficient, safe and profitable daily operations while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a Journeyman or Master Technician or experienced Service Manager with dealership experience, excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive

Qualifications

• Experience as a Journeyman/Master Technician and/or Service Manager within a dealership environment.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Proficient with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) and standard shop software.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and dispatch technician workloads to maximize daily efficiency.
• Maintain seamless communication between Service Advisors, Technicians, and Management.
• Relay repair orders quickly, minimize delays, and handle Used Car Inspection ROs with accuracy.
• Keep Service Advisors updated on repair statuses, potential delays, and parts requests.
• Track technician productivity goals, manage shop maintenance, and organize tools.
• Keep the Service Manager updated with daily status and activity reports.

Berman Auto Group is looking for a Production Manager to lead our high-volume shop in Niles, IL.

Pay: $75,000 - $100,000 / year

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and dispatch technician workloads to maximize daily efficiency

Qualifications

• Required: Experience as a Journeyman/Master Technician and/or Service Manager within a dealership environment (Note: If you don't know what a flat-rate hour is, this isn't the role for you!)
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
• Comfortable navigating Dealership Management Systems (DMS) and standard shop software
• Ability to positively motivate, manage, and develop a diverse team of technicians
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
