Job summary

Tropicale Foods, LLC is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Manufacturing Department, oversee production operations, and ensure product quality, safety, and cost control across all lines.

You will supervise Production Supervisors, participate in staffing decisions, and drive continuous improvement while upholding GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of production leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedules with PM and Sanitation to align with departments.
• Meet or exceed established production standards and KPIs.
• Support new product development, testing, and product launches.
• Ensure adherence to product formulations and specifications.
• Manage costs related to labor, raw materials, packaging, and waste.
• Participate in continuous improvement and operator training initiatives.
• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and development for Supervisors.
• Make recommendations regarding hiring, corrective action, and terminations.
• Foster effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Enforce GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and company policies.
• Maintain high product quality and safety standards.
• Ensure accurate completion and review of production documentation and logs.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and housekeeping across production areas.
• Participate in HACCP program implementation and audits.
• Coordinate with Sanitation on sanitation activities and projects.
• Ensure readiness for AIB and other audits.
