At JW Hicks, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add a dynamic Production Manager. Requirements

Primary Function(s):

• Responsible for ensuring all production needs are met, shop and equipment is maintained, and inventories are maintained
• Develop practices and procedures for optimizing production and reducing efficiency loss in specialty refractory shapes
• Design, procure, and supervise construction and installation of facilities, tooling, equipment and machinery

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and direct continual improvement of operating practices and procedures in manufacturing process
• Develop, implement and oversee process change verificationsDesign, procure, install, test, commission and optimize facilities, tooling, machinery and equipment for refractory shape production
• Troubleshoot problems using root cause analysis procedures and implement correcta
• Produce and maintain drawings
• Keep abreast of new technologies and methodologies
• Train employees on operating procedures and process/quality control activities
• B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to use CAD software
• 3-5 years' experience in a production environment with some project management responsibilities
• Familiarity with ISO standards and the ability to use statistical data to improve processes
• Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings
• Ability and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics in manufacturing
• Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operations and rigging
