Job summary

Nex-Tech Classifieds is seeking a supervisor to oversee production and recycling operations, manage scheduling, inventory, and plant facilities, while ensuring quality, safety, and responsive customer service at community locations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and knowledge of fire marshal regulations. Candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision and learn new programs such as QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and recycling operations, job scheduling, inventory, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Ensure quality assurance and strong customer service; maintain a safe work environment.
• Supervise Recycling Employees and assign duties; provide training and ensure performance.
• Maintain communication with COO and other departments; prepare and submit required paperwork.
• Meet production, shipping, and receiving schedules; manage routes and incidents as needed.
• Perform in-house repairs or arrange contracted repairs; manage maintenance requests.

• Maintain Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation, Ethics, Sexual Harassment, Emergency Preparedness, Vehicle Orientation, HIPPA, Bloodborne Pathogens, AP/SP/CI, Supportive Healthy Living and OSHA trainings and CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration and Mandt certifications
• Must have valid Kansas driver’s license at all times with no lapse in license
• Must have and maintain valid KDOT physical at all times with no lapse in license
• 10-30 hour OSHA certificate within 6 months of accepting this position within our organization

Education

Working

Conditions

• May have high noise levels due to radio traffic, telephone calls, walk in clients, or other agency business
• Temperatures will reflect seasonal changes at outdoor sites and attempts to maintain comfortable temperatures will be made at indoor sites
• Noise levels vary by site but are usually moderate, although at times may be loud
• Hearing protection is provided at sites with extreme noise levels
• Environmental conditions vary by work site and employees are required to work at community locations
• Must follow assigned work schedules that typically reflect hours Monday-Friday but schedules and hours vary based on need
• Employees are expected to remain flexible and cooperative
• 40 hour work week with over time as scheduled by management

  • Schedule production as sales are made
• Meet shipping/receiving schedules to maintain operations
  • Load and unload products from trucks as required
• Track raw material and finished goods inventory
  • Perform ongoing counts
  • Correctly store and maintain materials/finished goods
• Set up and break down of production lines and/or stations
  • Movement of equipment and materials to assigned work site
  • Work with ESM to ensure line ready when workers assigned
• Maintenance of machinery, equipment, and vehicles
  • Perform in-house repairs
  • Arrange for contracted repairs with COO when necessary
• Meet scheduled collection and/or delivery routes
  • Arrange routes and substitute for driver when required
• Meet OSHA and/or Company policies and requirements
• Supervise Recycling Employees
  • Assign Job Duties – training staff as necessary to ensure performance of those duties as trained and assigned
  • Ensure professional behavior of staff
  • Resolve work related issues/conflicts
  • Process staff related payroll, absences, evaluations, incidents, accidents, counseling, and discipline records
• Product Research and Development
  • Work with CEO as an onsite contact to develop new customers and/or products
• Maintain communication with ESM and provide support as needed
  • Supervision Employment Services activities for clients
    • Evaluate tasks for modification and worker suitability
    • Process all related reports and requisitions as required
    • Ensure completion of all incident/accident reports
    • Provide 1st Aid or emergency care when required
• Maintain communication with COO, ESM, Director of Marketing, and Director of Adult Services
  • General plant operations and issues
  • Attending meetings, submitting required paperwork and reports as requested
• Present a positive and productive image to clients, business contacts, guardians, other family members, staff, and the general public during the performance of job functions during the performance of job functions
• Provide assistance on tasks to ensure task is completed accurately and promptly on an as needed basis
• Attends meetings and training as directed by supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
