Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities and performance of production associates to ensure productivity, quality and safety.
• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities for material handling area.
• Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development and mentoring.
• Take corrective action as necessary per policy.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate policy changes and solicit improvement ideas.
• Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action and terminations as necessary.
• Evaluate and interpret business demand, prioritize and assign daily work.
• Establish line assignment and staffing based on priority list.
• Monitor work station assignments, breaks and overtime.
• Meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
• Maintain inventory levels in production and material handling areas using WMS.
• Review and record production documentation.
• Contribute to lean initiatives using 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban.
