Job summary

Saputo Inc. in Franklin, Wisconsin, seeks a Production Manager to lead the plant across administration, production, processing, packaging, scheduling, sanitation, quality, safety and environmental responsibilities.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will coordinate with Distribution, Quality, Maintenance and regulatory staff; drive cost control and continuous improvement; ensure SOPs and audits; develop employees and deliver safe, on-time, high-quality production.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control knowledge.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Knowledge of OSHA GISOs and Workers Compensation claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead through change and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Directs overall manufacturing facility activities to meet customer orders while maintaining safety and quality.
• Analyze plant operations and metrics to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Manage expenses including shrink, labor, and overhead costs using MOS (Management Operating Structure).
• Analyze downtime to improve efficiency and processes.
• Ensure SOPs are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business.
• Coordinate with Distribution, Quality, Maintenance and regulatory staff.
• Lead and develop employees, including performance management.
• Support internal/external audits.
• Collaborate across functions as a change agent to drive improvements.
