  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (covering afternoon & weekend shifts if necessary)
  • Hours of work: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (and or flexible)

Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina, USA

Summary:

As a Production Manager, you are responsible to manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, on-time delivery, and safety measures as established and set for the department. Reporting into the VP, Digital Operations, as an experienced Production Manager, you will ensure safe and efficient operations. Serve as a Company representative on regulatory issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company’s policies and applicable laws. The Production Manager monitors and performs day-to-day leadership of digital production, follow and meet on daily basis with the team supervisor and other teams to review targets for product quality, efficiency, delivery ensuring teamwork, performances around labor, set up jobs (change over), monitor (supervisors, lead hands, operators) and on-time delivery of the product and growth from the Digital Outdoor production and manufacturing & other assigned divisions.

Production Manager will maintain positive and professional attitude with all levels of staff, also responsible for training and coaching/mentoring, order planning, prioritizing and scheduling of all activities with supervisors for meeting on-time-deliveries to our customers.

The primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:
Operations:
  • Main objective is to maintain hands-on engagement, day-to day involvement with all teams, drive effective labor, cross training and sustain standardizing activities (procedures, policies and support QA) and displaying hands on leadership.
  • Responsible for interviewing, selection, and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employee’s performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards.
  • Organizing the budget of the Company in collaboration with the VP of Digital Operations.
    • Introducing and developing best practices and procedures.
    • Rely on extensive operational management experience and day-to-day monitoring to plan and set up targets, goals, and managing key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.
  • Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations.
    • Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues
    • Responsible for all department supervisors / leads
    • Review/approval responsibility for all operations employees & run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace
Leadership:
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

  • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements and implement & enforce policies and procedures.
    • develop processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
    • analyze and improve organizational process and workflow (space requirements), and equipment layout (implement changes)
    • maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
    • accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.
    • Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities, such as breaking a fence or tape residue on flooring
    • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
    • Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
Facility:
  • In charge of Fort Mill, facility, from start up to end of the shift (employee safety) including all building services such as power, lighting, HVAC, water, drainage, waste removal, and janitorial services adequately meet the needs of the organization and are maintained to be stable and reliable.
    • Establish, implement, and administer an effective program for maintaining building facilities and equipment (weekly or monthly check list).
  • Develop contingency plan or emergency list (prepare plant startup/shutdown);
    • develop and set in place start up procedure (open/close);
    • All season condition readiness and willing to work extra or necessary hours.
    • Responsible for all production/Finish Goods areas, Shipping and Yard
Additionally:
  • To some degree use or work in MRP system, developing documented procedures and assisting other groups from product development through to product introduction including reporting (documenting).
  • Contribute to a positive team environment within the Company.
  • Other responsibilities, functions, duties, and projects assigned by Management.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
  • Work closely with the team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reducing sub-rental expenses.
  • Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations.
Other duties that may be assigned, example(s):
  • Responsible for all aspects of managing the Company’s vehicles and/or heavy equipment rentals (such as cranes to assist with loading or unloading).
  • Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies.
  • Manage relationships with key operations vendors.
  • Track vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels
Requirements / Qualifications:
Academic Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or similar stream / training in Manufacturing Settings.
Work Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in production or manufacturing settings or in a related area
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role
