Job summary

Tedia is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing execution and site maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and on-time operations. You translate the production schedule into daily priorities and build leader capability.

You supervise four Manufacturing Team Leads and Production Coordinator, manage budgets, and partner with Quality, EHS, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve constraints and drive continuous improvement in yield, changeovers, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Five+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical/pharma/process manufacturing.
• Three+ years leadership experience with direct people responsibility.
• Experience managing safety, quality, production schedules, labor, and operating metrics.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP and MS Office.
• Strong floor leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing execution across shifts and own staffing, overtime, and training decisions.
• Translate production schedule into staffing, equipment, material, and maintenance plans.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, yield, and equipment reliability through visible performance management.
• Coach leaders via floor presence, handoffs, tier meetings, and performance reviews.
• Ensure production records, deviations, and required documentation are accurate and completed on time.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and ensure corrective actions prevent recurrence.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in flow, cycle time, and changeovers.
• Partner with Quality, EHS, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve operating constraints.
• Own the operating budget and manage labor, maintenance, and operating expenses.
• Lead RC Maintenance and optimize maintenance planning, scheduling, and spares readiness.

The Production Manager leads manufacturing execution and site maintenance. The role ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and on-time operations. It converts the production plan into daily priorities, builds leader capability, removes constraints, and improves equipment reliability.

• Lead operations in accordance with Tedia's safety, quality, PSM, RMP, and environmental requirements.
• Own daily manufacturing execution across shifts. Set priorities and hold teams accountable for results.
• Translate the production schedule into clear staffing, equipment, material, and maintenance plans.
• Lead four Manufacturing Team Leads and Production Coordinator. Set expectations and standard work.
• Maintain visible performance management for safety, quality, delivery, yield, and equipment reliability.
• Monitor schedule attainment and customer commitments. Escalate risks early and lead recovery plans.
• Manage staffing, overtime, training, qualification, attendance, and succession planning.
• Coach leaders through regular floor presence, shift handoffs, tier meetings, and performance reviews.
• Ensure production records, deviations, and required documentation are accurate and completed on time.
• Lead or support incident, deviation, and root-cause investigations. Ensure actions prevent recurrence.
• Identify bottlenecks and capacity gaps. Lead improvements in flow, cycle time, changeovers, and yield.
• Partner with Quality, EHS, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve operating constraints.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager on capital projects. Define operating requirements, coordinate plant resources, and ensure startup readiness and effective handoff.
• Own the operating budget. Control labor, maintenance, contractor, and operating expenses.
• lead RC Maintenance personnel and work processes.
• Set preventive and corrective maintenance priorities-based criticality.
• Improve RC Maintenance PM completion, work-order quality, planning, scheduling, spare-parts readiness, and breakdown response.
• Build a reliability culture that reduces repeat failures and unplanned downtime.
• Provide off-hours support and escalation for significant production or equipment issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Success Criteria:

• Meet site safety and quality goals and close assigned actions on time.
• Achieve at least 90% production schedule attainment with a sustained improving trend.
• Support at least 95% customer on-time delivery through effective execution and recovery planning.
• Meet approved labor and operating budgets, with variances identified and addressed.
• Complete 100% of required performance reviews, training plans, and leader development actions.
• Maintain documentation of standard work and critical operating processes.
• Achieve at least 95% on-time PM completion and reduce repeat equipment failures.
• Deliver documented capacity, cost, quality, or reliability improvements each year.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Manufacturing Team Leads (4), Production Coordinator, RC Maintenance (2), Automation & Controls Process Engineer.

Required Education and Experience:

• Five or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing.
• Three or more years of leadership experience with direct responsibility for people and results.
• Experience managing safety, quality, production schedules, labor, and operating metrics.
• Working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong floor leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience leading maintenance, reliability, or asset-care functions.
• Experience with PSM, ISO quality systems, lean manufacturing, and root-cause analysis.
