Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Production Manager in Denver, Colorado. This role is crucial for leading manufacturing activities, including metal forming and press operations, ensuring products meet quality standards efficiently and safely.

Job description

Job Overview

Production Manager – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Responsible for leading manufacturing activities, including metal forming and press operations, to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Reporting To

Sr. Production Manager

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand using MRP systems.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, SMED to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Track and drive key metrics: On‑Time Delivery (OTD), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Scrap and Rework Rate, Labor Efficiency/Productivity.
  • Ensure product quality meets engineering specifications and reduce scrap and rework rates.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor production personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Enforce all safety standards and policies, conduct regular audits, and investigate incidents.
  • Monitor production budgets and work to reduce plant operating costs.
  • Model IDEX values of Team, Trust, and Excellence in all actions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of metal forming processes (stamping, drawing, flanging, bending) and ability to interpret blueprints and BOMs.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems.
  • Proven leadership ability to guide teams in a fast‑paced environment and drive change.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in metal forming, stamping, or fabrication.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $109,800.00 – $164,600.00. Eligibility for a performance‑based bonus plan.
