Job summary

ORFLAX Wires and Cables seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on our wire & cable manufacturing and copper drawing floors. This is a hands-on, on-site role on the production floor.

You will supervise labour and shifts, maintain quality, hit daily targets, coordinate raw materials, and work with maintenance, QA, stores and planning to improve efficiency while upholding a safe, disciplined environment. Market-based compensation includes performance bonuses.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role, not a desk job. The ideal candidate will work closely with production teams in the manufacturing plant, supervise labour and shift operations, maintain product quality, achieve daily production targets, coordinate raw material procurement, and ensure smooth plant operations with minimal downtime. The role also involves collaborating with the maintenance, quality assurance, stores, and planning departments to improve operational efficiency while maintaining a safe and disciplined work environment. • 3+ years of experience in wire & cable manufacturing, copper drawing, or the electrical manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of copper drawing, bunching/stranding, insulation, extrusion, cable manufacturing, and related production processes
• Hands-on experience supervising production teams, managing labour, shift operations, productivity, and workplace discipline
• Ability to monitor and maintain quality standards while identifying and resolving production issues in real time
• Experience coordinating raw material procurement, inventory, production planning, and interdepartmental operations
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to minimize machine downtime and improve production efficiency
• Understanding of workplace safety standards, manufacturing best practices, and process optimization
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Willingness to spend the majority of working hours on the production floor, actively managing operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day manufacturing activities.
