Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. in Claremont, NC, is seeking a Production Supervisor responsible for managing operations in wood component and frame assembly manufacturing, ensuring quality products are produced and delivered on time to the next operation.

You will oversee staffing, train personnel, mentor leads, maintain equipment, and uphold safety policies to create a safe, efficient production culture that supports continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge to operate complex machinery and supervise others.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Staff production to meet manufacturing requirements and ensure trained employees are available.
• Mentor Production Lead People to address safety, quality, productivity and attendance issues.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
• Enforce safety policies and PPE use to ensure safe wood dust management and health standards.

Position Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating operations associated with the manufacture of wood components and frame assemblies ensuring quality products are produced that meet specifications and are delivered on a timely basis to the next operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures proper staffing levels are available to meet production requirements and that employees are properly trained for the job they are assigned.
• Mentors Production Lead People to address employee issues with safety, quality, productivity and attendance problems per company policy.
• Ensures that manufacturing equipment is properly maintained to prevent lengthy and costly equipment breakdowns.
• Create a culture of safety by enforcing rules/ policies regarding the use of proper personal protective equipment ( PPE) safe wood dust management health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of work performed in order to operate more complex machinery and provide guidance or supervision of others (team leaders or 1st line supervisors).
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
