Job summary

Silgan Containers seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead daily production, supervise staff, and partner with plant management at multiple US locations.

You will apply statistical process methods, oversee equipment, enforce SOPs, and help develop plant personnel in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment across union and nonunion plants. The role also supports training, quality improvements, and labor-relations processes with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing operations experience.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with a variety of machinery and tools.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured 8–10 month training program for supervision.
• Support plant management with daily operations, staff supervision, and production planning.
• Apply statistical process controls and basic quality tools to optimize production.
• Manage throughput to maximize equipment and material efficiency while maintaining safety.
• Enforce SOPs and help train and develop plant staff.
• Oversee teams across locations and support labor relations.
