Job summary

Sonoco Chestnut Hill is seeking a Production and Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join a rotating 8-hour shift. You will perform maintenance, quality checks, and breakdown repairs, while following safety policies and completing training from Production Associate to Assembly Mechanic.

The role includes data recording, tool maintenance, and potential overtime on weekends. The position requires comfort with physical tasks, PLC troubleshooting as a plus, and the ability to work independently on

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and motor controls is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a rotating shift with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a monthly cycle.
• Conduct quality checks on in-process and finished products.
• Record and report production and maintenance data; maintain logs and tool inventory.
