Job summary

Ball Corporation's Fort Atkinson, WI facility is seeking a Production Technician to join a 24/7 operation. As part of a production crew, you will observe SOPs, operate and adjust high-speed equipment, and support maintenance tasks.

The role emphasizes safety and quality, 5S practices, PPE, and teamwork. Eligible candidates have a HS diploma and mechanical aptitude; in return Ball offers competitive pay starting at $32.40 per hour, benefits from day one, and an on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
• Operate, adjust, and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals.
• Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

PositionOverview:

As aProduction Technician,you’rea member of a production crew, reporting toa supervisor of an assigned production area.You willcontribute to the success of Ball byobservingoperating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.

The Fort Atkinson plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 3 days on/3 days off, rotating from days to nights and back every 9 weeks (6a-6p/6p-6a)

YourKeyResponsibilitiesInclude:

Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.

Physical EnvironmentandWorking Conditions:

• Hot/Cold working conditions.
• Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
• Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary).
