Responsibilities
Common tasks in concrete maintenance roles in Bedford, Ohio include ready-mix concrete maintenance and concrete finishing. Ready-mix concrete maintenance may involve operating and maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting and repairing plant machinery (like air compressors and conveyors), performing preventative maintenance, and reading technical specifications. Welding and electrical troubleshooting skills are also often required, along with experience in installing piping systems and operating mobile equipment. Concrete finishers are responsible for preparing and finishing concrete surfaces to achieve quality results, which can be part of broader construction projects involving demolition and site grading.

Some positions involve assisting with or leading concrete pouring tasks and performing masonry work. Utilizing concrete repair materials is also a common duty.
