Job summary

Shillington Box Co., a TRG company, is seeking a Production Maintenance Tech on 2nd shift at our St. Louis, MO facility to perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.

The role includes troubleshooting, welding, electrical and hydraulic work, plus setup and operation of machine tools to repair parts. Union involvement required. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial mechanical experience required.
• Experience with corrugated packaging equipment is a plus.
• Willingness to join the Carpenters' Union.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain or repair balers, conveyors, forklifts, and loaders.
• Visually inspect and test machinery.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts.
• Lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and related components.
• Install and repair electrical equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Set up machine tools to fabricate parts.
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment.
• Utilize Cogz Maintenance system.

Shillington Box Co., a TRG company and subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, currently has an exciting opportunity available for Production Maintenance Tech's (2nd Shift) at our St. Louis, MO facility!

As a Production Maintenance Tech, you will perform preventative maintenance activities on all existing equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot, maintain or repair Baler, Conveyors, forklifts, loaders and other equipment. Perform some welding and fabrication.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, and tools.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Ability to operate the Cogz Maintenance system.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Previous industrial mechanical experience required.
• Previous experience in working with corrugated packaging equipment such as flexo folder gluers, rotary diecutters, balers, conveyors, unitizers and load formers is a plus.
• Must be willing to join the Carpenters' Union.
