Production Maintenance Supervisor – SPERTON - Where Great People Meet

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Coppell, Texas

Reporting To: Manager/Sr Director Production Tech Support

Work Hours: Monday‑Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM (off‑peak); 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (on‑peak)

Eligible for annual bonus.

Responsibilities

Provides direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as required. Monitors all work in progress ensuring a constant production workflow is maintained and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
Maintains parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including vendor cost for each part.
Monitors records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensures maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines.
Stays informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
Fills in and assumes all management responsibilities in the Department Manager’s absence.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding Cost Per Unit targets on shift (labor costs, overtime, inventory control, etc.).
Monitors and maximizes machine throughput.
Verifies work is filled out properly, monitoring and following departmental procedures.
Rewards, recognizes, and disciplines associates.
Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individual report.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School.
5+ years’ experience in the operation and repair of production equipment.
Proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience necessary.
Electrical and electronics repair a plus.
Knowledge, understanding, and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ.
1+ year(s) minimum supervisory experience in a high‑volume production environment.
