Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift to keep packaging and processing lines running. This hands-on role focuses on equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and safe, efficient operation.

You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; perform preventive maintenance; read manuals and work orders; and participate in safety and cGMP compliance. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of PLCs and HVAC systems.
• Experience with welding and plumbing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform preventive and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to complete repairs efficiently.
• Perform facility maintenance, including basic plumbing and carpentry.
• Maintain maintenance logs, parts inventory, and shop organization.
• Identify equipment issues, communicate with supervisors, and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety procedures, cGMP requirements, and standard operating procedures.

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Mechanic to support a leading food and beverage manufacturer. In this hands-on role, you'll help maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and keep production operating safely and efficiently. What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Craft apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience

• 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of PLCs and HVAC systems

• Experience with welding and plumbing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance

• Vacuum furnace experience

• Experience in food, beverage, or other regulated manufacturing environments

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
