Job summary

TE Connectivity in Manheim, PA is seeking a Production Machinist II for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 pm–2:30 am) to operate CNC machines and support tooling, inspection and documentation duties.

You will read blueprints, set up and run Citizen, SR10, Tsugami and SR20 screw machines, perform deburring, cleaning, and quality checks, and coordinate with teammates to meet production targets while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• ITAR restrictions require US Citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment and perform secondary tasks such as tumbling, reworking, and cleaning.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, BOMs and other instructions to operate equipment.
• Troubleshoot operations and flow issues with team.
• Perform quality checks and document defects.
• Maintain records of production quantities and time.
• Work safely with hand tools and measuring equipment and keep a clean area.
• Duties may include operating Screw Machine (Citizen, SR10, Tsugami, SR20), Milling, Shipping and other secondary work.

Responsibilities:

• Applies basic job skills to operate CNC machining equipment and perform various secondary tasks such as tumbling, reworking, and cleaning
• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately operate CNC machining equipment.
• Work with team to trouble shoot operations and/or flow issues
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards, and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
• Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity
• Keep records of production quantities and time
• Work safely with small hand tools and measuring equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

Duties could include:

• Operate Screw Machine: Citizen, SR10, Tsugami, SR20 Machine
• Operate Milling
• Shipping
• Secondary work.

Shift and Schedule:

This position will be working 2nd shift which works Monday to Thursday 4 pm – 2:30 am

Individuals working 2nd shift receive 10% shift premium on top of their hourly rate.

Job Requirements

• Interpreting blueprints, diagrams, engineering diagrams, and other design documents to develop prototype models, creating toolpaths from models, and operating machining equipment.
• Performing various tasks like deburring, cleaning, sanding, setting up, operating the machining equipment, and troubleshooting the operation and flow issues.
• Following the standard operating procedures, meeting the specified quality and productivity standards, and documenting time and production quantity records.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying defects, and completing appropriate documentation.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $24.71 - $37.02 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
