Job summary

Welch's is hiring a General Production Labor to operate manufacturing equipment and support the production of high-quality food and beverages. The role is a union position at our Lawton, MI facility.

We are filling 2nd and 3rd shift at a 24/7 plant. Candidates should be team players who are safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to follow strong processes from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Production Worker, Manufacturing Associate, Material Handler, General Labor, or related manufacturing/industrial role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to meet department goals.
• Move, organize, and stage ingredients.
• Produce documentation to verify safety, quality, and production standards.
• Observe operations to ensure schedules and quality standards are met.
• Submit reports summarizing daily production.
• Inspect and test production line set-ups to ensure proper equipment operation.
• Check production equipment daily for proper cleaning and safe operation.
• Clean and sanitize production facilities and equipment.
• Follow the Plant Safety Program, GMP requirements and both people & food safety protocols.
• Ensure enough supplies and ingredients for production schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The General Production Labor role operates manufacturing equipment to produce high quality food and beverage products in a safe and effective manner. This is a union position and facility. The pay rate is $20.66 per hour.

We are currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift!

Where You'll Work

This role will be based out of our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Lawton, MI.
