Job summary

Techo-Bloc Inc. in Waterloo, IN is seeking hands-on, mechanically minded operators to run automated manufacturing equipment and keep production on track.

The role emphasizes problem solving, teamwork, and pride in craftsmanship across North America’s landscaping products. You will set up devices, perform preventative maintenance, document daily production and maintenance reports, and escalate issues to maintenance to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Front Line people Leadership.
• Basic computer skills required; Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft tools a plus.
• Strong Data Driven core with ability to communicate performance, quality, safety and process efficiency and inspire shop floor employees.
• Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously and proactively.
• Availability to work flexible hours and overtime including nights and weekends, when necessary.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Operate automated manufacturing equipment to meet production goals.
• Produce assigned products with verbal and written instructions.
• Complete equipment set-up procedures and preventative maintenance.
• Use tools and measuring devices to maintain, adjust and repair equipment.
• Accurately prepare all necessary production and maintenance reports daily.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools.
• Complete minor repairs on equipment and refer issues to maintenance to avoid production delays.
• Follow established guidelines on policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to relieving operators and shift managers as part of the shift change procedure.
