Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. The role offers hourly wages of $21.00-$23.00 and shifts including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with hours from 6:00am to 2:00pm; 2:00pm to 10:00pm; 10:00pm to 6:00am.

You will review production schedules, verify batch and formula sheets, inspect machinery, and ensure GMP safety while maintaining a neat workspace. There is potential for growth in a short-term position in Loves Park, IL.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing or as a machine operator preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a hot environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand daily production schedules with supervisors and team leads.
• Verify batch sheets, formula sheets, and process checklists to ensure accurate production.
• Gather, measure, and verify materials, ingredients, and labels per batch specifications.
• Inspect machinery before and during operation to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning.
• Set up and shut down equipment following established procedures.
• Mix, cook, assemble, and package products in accordance with formulas and batch sheets.
• Monitor machine performance, adjusting as necessary to maintain process control.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout production to meet standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to GMP and safety protocols.
• Perform calculations related to ingredient quantities, waste, and process parameters.
• Identify and report safety or food safety issues to management immediately.
• Assist with changeovers and packaging tasks as needed.
