Overview

Stryten Energy's factory near the Kansas City Airport is expanding and seeking Production Operators with strong mechanical skills, attention to safety and quality, a proven attendance record, and a strong work ethic. Associates will operate state-of-the-art casting and punch press machinery on a two-shift operation. Responsibilities include meeting production goals, following standardized work practices, material handling, quality checks, and embracing lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all equipment according to established standard operating procedures.
• Crosstrain on all functions of the operation (Casting, Punch, and Material Handling).
• Possess strong mechanical ability to run equipment and make necessary adjustments.
• Responsible for daily production reports and accurate production counts.
• Perform appropriate 5S tasks as needed.
• Participate in training and development programs, especially those related to environmental, health, and safety issues, including handling hazardous materials and waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Good work record, attendance, and communication skills.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
• Experience in a mechanically related field.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to complete post-offer background check and drug screening.
• High School diploma/GED preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

Must be able to see, hear, speak, sit, stand for extended periods, bend, crawl, squat, kneel, climb, lift 40 pounds, work in confined spaces, wear PPE, and work extended shifts including every other weekend.

Work Environment

Ability to work indoors or outdoors in various climate conditions, with potential exposure to lead, fumes, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat, and cold. Travel may be required for training and meetings.
