Minimum Job Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education/Certifications:
High school diploma or GED; or knowledge or familiarity with mechanical, electrical and electronics; or up to one year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret manuals and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Proficiencies: Experience as a machine operator, preferably on packaging machines. Work related experience in a technical and/or mechanical position and an understanding of the benefits of preventative maintenance practices.
Computer Skills: Ability to operate and understand basic computer programs up to but not limited to Word, Excel, and Label Matrix.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move 10 to 150 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to airborne particles. The employee occasionally works with chemicals.
