Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee warehouse and truck operations in our Ohio facility. You will supervise production and dispatch staff, schedule coverage, ensure vehicle maintenance, and coordinate loading, packing, and shipping to thrift stores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must qualify to drive forklift.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct and train production and dispatch employees.
• Schedule all employees assigned to the production department to ensure coverage.
• Ensure vehicles (including forklift) are registered, inspected, and maintained.
• Maintain safety and operate equipment in safe working order.
• Plan and supervise pickup, truck routes and driver schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize damage.
• Ensure merchandise is loaded, packed, and shipped to stores on time and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and systematic trash removal to prevent buildup and protect saleable items.
• Record and supervise production and loading of bales; coordinate with bale sales for pickups.
• Oversee sorting processes for hanging, tagging, pricing, and shipping to stores.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly warehouse and production reports and time cards.
