We are seeking an experienced Production Line Supervisor to lead dynamic teams at our high-energy aerosol manufacturing facility. This critical role involves overseeing front-line manufacturing staff and ensuring safety, quality, and maximum efficiency across multiple production lines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are consistently achieved.
- Strategically plan and coordinate production activities to maintain schedule adherence, maximize output, and optimize labor resources.
- Prepare production lines meticulously according to work order specifications.
- Complete assigned Standard Work tasks with precision.
- Coordinate off-line production when necessary.
- Review work orders thoroughly for accuracy and completeness before and after each production run.
- Accurately report used components, production scrap, and work order data.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments regarding schedules, production status, defective materials, and inventory management.
- Set clear team goals that meet or exceed quality standards.
- Assign tasks strategically to drive performance and foster continuous improvement.
- Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures consistently.
- Train, coach, and motivate employees to reach their full potential.
- Track training progress using our LMS program.
- Proactively assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.
- Foster and maintain a safe work environment, prioritizing the well-being of all production associates.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement effective corrective actions to prevent safety incidents.
- Take on additional assigned duties as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficient with computers and data entry, ensuring accurate information flow.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, accountability, and the ability to build trust within the team.
- Strong analytical skills to swiftly identify and resolve manufacturing process issues.
- Ability to work independently and take a hands-on approach to leading assigned production lines.
- Maintain composure under pressure while effectively managing shifting priorities and demands.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Fast-paced production setting with seasonal temperature variations.
- Noise and dust are commonplace.
Physical Demands:
- Primarily standing and walking; occasional bending and lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
- Capacity to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
